1. Interesting Places in Johor

1)There are lots of interesting places to visit in Johor which includes its capital called Johor Bahru. It is a place where people can go out and shopping whether in shopping complex or night market. A colonial and royal district are also located over there.

 2)For those people who like to explore the tropical rainforest in Malaysia, they can visit Endau Rompin National Park where it is located between Pahang and the northeast of Johor. It is the second largest National Park after Taman Negara. The name of the park is taken from Endau and Rompin rivers that flow through the park.The park has one of the oldest tropical rainforest in the world and features rock formations from 248 million years old ago. Apart from that, the park contains the largest remaining population of the threatened
Sumatran rhinoceros species on the Malay Peninsula.

 3)Kota Tinggi is known as a historical town because the Sultanate of Johor was established there. There are a lot of historical tomb can be found including the famous tomb of the last sultan of the Malaccan Sultanate line, Makam Bendahara Tun Habib Abdul Majid and MakamTauhid in Kampung Makam. Kota Tinggi Waterfalls at Lombong are also one of the  interesting places to go and it is popular among tourists. 

4)Muar is also a place where it must be visited as it has lots of historical buildings and also beautiful scenery.The building were mostly built in the early 1990s and since then, there have been no major renovation done to protect the historical art of the buildings. For a beautiful scenery, tourists can go to Sultan Ismail Bridge and there they can have a scenery of Muar river bank with perfect angle and beautiful town.

 5)Tanjung Piai is a cape in Johor which is the southernmost point of Peninsular Malaysia and thus the most southern point of mainland Asia. The skyline of Singapore is visible across the Johor Strait from the point. It features seafood restaurants, perched on wooden jetties that are surrounded by a rugged and rarefied coastline of unspoiled mangrove forests. Tourists can enjoy fishing from chalet which is located there and they are given a free fishing rod where they can fishing from their own window due to the chalets are located on the sea.

 6)Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque (Malay:Masjid Negeri Sultan Abu Bakar) is the state mosque of Johor, Malaysia. Located along Jalan Skudai, Johor Bahru, the mosque was constructed between 1892 and 1900, under the direction of Sultan Abu Bakar. Tuan Haji Mohamed Arif bin Punak was the architect of the mosque. He intentionally based much of its appearance on colonial English Victorian architecture as noted by the minarets that take the form of British 19th century clocktowers. The architecture of the mosque additionally includes some Moorish architecture elements, along with some minor Malay influence.

 7)Mount Ophir, or more commonly known by its Malay name, Gunung Ledang, is a mountain situated in the Gunung Ledang National Park located in Ledang District (northwestern Johor), Malaysia. The summit is located between the border of Muar and Malacca. Standing at 1,276 m (4,186 ft), with a clear trail leading to the peak, the mountain is a popular destination among amateur climbers. Mount Ophir is also the 64th highest mountain in Malaysia and arguably the most climbed mountain in the country.


 8)Danga Bay or Teluk Danga is the largest recreational park in the city of Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. It is located near Istana Bukit Serene, about 7 km from Johor Bahru's city center. Many interesting events are held there especially during festive seasons.Danga Bay is set to be a premier waterfront development and one of the highlights of the Iskandar Malaysia, offering amongst others, upscale properties, top-notch retail outlets, thrills and spills of leisure activities, an oasis for local and international food and beverage and top-draw events and activities. Danga Bay Integrated Waterfront City is one of the most exciting areas of development within Iskandar Malaysia. The site is accessible via a comprehensive network of main roads, International Airports, cargo hubs and seaports.

 9)Desaru is a beach and resort area in Johor, Malaysia. It is located approximately 88 kilometers east of Johor Bahru, on the South China Sea. It is a very popular weekend escape for residents of Singapore who come to enjoy the attractive 25 km stretch of beaches and splendid golf courses. The Desaru Golf & Country Resort is a popular establishment here. Located near this beach is a town called Bandar Penawar, where there are various Malaysian boarding schools including Sekolah Menengah Sains Kota Tinggi, Sekolah Sukan Bandar Penawar and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Bandar Penawar. 

2.  Food  

Most of the cuisines in Johor are influenced by Arabs. There are some of the food's ingredients where they cannot be found anywhere in Malaysia except in Johor due to its complicated recipes. For example Laksa Johor which it is different from Laksa Penang by having coconut milk put inside of the gravy. It also different from other laksa in Malaysia where it uses spaghetti instead of rice-based noodles.

There is also dish called Mee Bandung Muar where it is originated specifically from Muar. The term "Bandung" means anything that is mixed from many ingredients. Dried shrimp is one of the most important ingredients in Mee Bandung Muar.
Telur pindang is also originated from Johor. It uses eggs boiled with herbs and spices and is very popular in Batu Pahat especially during certain occasion like wedding feasts.

A very well know dish in Johor is Nasi Biryani Gam. Most malaysians do like this food as it is different from ordinary Nasi Biryani due to its secret spices recipe that is adjusted to the Malay plate. The dish also is very popular to around Batu Pahat District. Another famous dish that can be found in Johor is called Asam Pedas. It can be made from mackarel fish and also stingray and mixed with tamarind, chilli, tomatoes, okra and vietnamese coriander.

There are some famous dishes that come from Java, Indonesia. For example, lontong where it is made from a combination of pressed rice and special coconut soup with vegetables and usually served with boiled eggs and chilli. There are other food also like nasi ambeng and bontrot where it usually served during wedding ceremonies.

Objective of the Links
The objective of the links above is to help in explaining almost all aspects of Johor. For Introduction, we provide explanations on demography and geographical of the state. History will cover the history of existence of Johor and why it is one of the most developed states in Malaysia and will also give information of Johorians culture. Economy will give so information regarding the state’s current economic situation. For attractions, we will give the details of the interesting places that tourists should go and also the food that they should have a try. Transportation will further explain the ways of getting to Johor and we also include the price of it. Hostel & Living is to help viewers regarding places to stay according to their own interest of staying near the city, airport or near to the places that they want to have a visit.

1.      How is your understanding of the topic after doing the project? Understanding about digital media?
            After I have done the project, it makes me feel to learn more in adobe tools especially Dreamweaver as I felt that it can be used for many purposes related to my degree course.
2.      What were the problems faced during the project? How did you/your team solve your group problems?
            Linking is the hardest thing that we as a group were facing in the project. However, we managed to solve it by learning from YouTube and asking some help from other group.
3.      What would you do differently next time?

I will try to make this project as fancy as I can so that I will know how much talents that I do have.


4.      How is your motivation level?
            I am more confident in doing multimedia design works as compared to my first class in Digital Media 1.
5.      How was working with your group, team leader, tutorial group leader and Project Manager?
            My group mates help me a lot in doing this project. We had a good team harmony during the work process. My team leader works very hard to make sure everything is done accordingly. My tutorial group leader is understandable and can communicate with us very well.
6.      How was it working on the project?
            It was tough, but it was very enjoyable as we managed to work on this nicely and it was really exciting when everyone in this group contribute their ideas on how we can finish this project perfectly.
7.      Update on what you have been writing previously
There are no real changes but the work has been finalized


8.      How were your teammates & team leader?
            We are fine, had a slight difference on ideas and so on, but everything was good especially the team-spirit

9.      Personal evaluation of your own effort and that of your team

I personally feel that we had contributed equally effort both mentally and physically.
